The choices and decisions you make in life
is what makes you the person you are. And that is how everyone is different and
unique in their own way. When something happens to me I try my best to not let
it get to me and remember that everything happens for a reason. You may not know
the reason right then, or ever. God somehow let it happen to you because he
wanted it too.
Once we leave high school, we are all going to go our separate ways. Most
of us have short term goals and also long term goals. Some of my short term
goals are to make at least a B in all of my classes throughout senior year.
After I graduate I hope to attend College of Charleston. If I don’t go to
Charleston right away then I will go to tech for two years and do my core
classes. Long term goals that I have are to graduate from whatever college I go
to and if I decide to make a career in the medical field then I wish to get into
MUSC. The best way to achieve any of your goals is to start working on them
early. To better my chances of getting into the colleges I want to go to, I am
taking a few college classes during senior year. This way I can already have
some of my credits and perhaps graduate early.
Everyone has a different story of how they get to the places they reach
in life. Going to the Academy for Arts, Science and Technology was probably one
of the best decisions I have made in my high school career. I knew I would be
leaving my friends and starting off new at another school, but I also knew I
would make plenty of friends and grow as a better student. Coming to this school
has made me realize how important it is to do well in my classes and not just
slack around. I also started to find my classes more interesting because it was
a school I wanted to be at. Of course I thought about going back to be with my
friends senior year, but I realized the students and staff at AAST are the ones
who truly care about you and how you do in your future. Mrs.Rabon, my junior pre
medicine teacher, has been one of the ones to help me the most and knows almost
everything about me. She has always been there for me if I need someone to talk
to and I would have never had that at my base school. Anybody who get the chance
to attend this school should definitely take it. It may be hard at the
beginning, but it will be worth it in the end.
I believe I would be an asset to the College of Charleston or to The
University of South Carolina because I know I can achieve my goals if I set my
mind to it. I am the type of person that if someone tells me they don’t believe
I can do something, I will work hard and prove to them that I can. I may doubt
myself with my work, but only the best second guess their selves. In order to
achieve your dreams and goals, all you have to do is believe and work hard.
